Lemonaid Beverages is looking for a UK Head of Sales to get our drinks to more people, in more places, more often. You will own our biggest accounts from first handshake to repeat order, lead a small and hungry sales team, and work shoulder to shoulder with the Managing Director on where we take the UK next. This is a hands-on role in a fast-growing Social Enterprise: you will carry your own accounts as well as lead others, and you will see the impact of every deal you close.
Since 2009, we've been on a mission to shake up the soft drinks market with Fairtrade, organic beverages that make a real difference. Every bottle sold contributes 5p to the Lemonaid & ChariTea Foundation, and together we've raised over £12 million to fund impactful social projects in our sourcing regions. Our goal is simple yet powerful: to inspire social change, one drink at a time.
You can learn more about our journey and the Foundation's work. It's not just words - every year, we pack our bags and visit our growers and project partners, like the Heiveld Cooperative in South Africa, to see the impact first-hand. What started as a small idea in Germany has grown into a global movement. Today, our team of 120+ Lemonaiders spans six countries, and in the UK, a dozen of us are driving sales and marketing to new heights. The last two years have been our biggest yet in the UK: we launched our can range and landed a listing with Waitrose. The doors are open. What we need now is someone to walk through them and make our drinks the ethical choice on shelves, menus and fridges across the country. This is a sales job where the numbers mean something.
YOUR ROLE
- Own our biggest accounts across wholesale, retail, foodservice, travel and QSR.
- Lead, coach and develop the field sales team and help every one of them get better at what they do.
- Be the person who follows through. Nothing falls through the cracks, and buyers remember that.
- Keep a pipeline we can trust, so we always know what is coming and can go after it properly.
- Own the forecast and the numbers behind it, and tell us the story of where the growth is coming from.
- Work side by side with the Managing Director on where we take the UK business next.
- Team up with our global crew to bring the brand to life inside your customers, from launches to activations.
- Build compelling stories, sell with impact and hold relationships that last longer than a single listing.
ABOUT YOU
- 5+ years of experience in FMCG, with a track record of turning first meetings into listings that last.
- Direct experience with national wholesalers (Bidfood, Brakes, etc.) and with buyers in grocery or foodservice.
- You get a kick out of seeing your team win, and you know how to coach them there.
- The kind of person who does what they said they would, when they said they would.
- Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and sales reporting.
- Happy rolling your sleeves up in a small team of 12: you build your own pipeline, chase your own follow-ups and still love being in front of a buyer as much as leading the people who are.
- Excited by the mission, and up for telling that story to anyone who will listen.
WHAT WE OFFER
- The perks of being a Lemonaider, changing the world one drink at a time.
- A chance to work in a fast-growing global social enterprise with a strong mission to drive social change.
- 26 days holiday a year, plus bank holidays - increases by 1 day each year up to 30 days.
- A company pension scheme with NEST.
- Private medical insurance, incl. dental, optical & mental health support, co-paid by the company.
- A monthly company contribution towards an income protection policy of your choice, giving you financial cover if you are unable to work due to long-term illness or injury.
- Regular team socials and project trips to our farming communities and project partners in the Global South.
- The prospect of joining the Lemonaid & ChariTea Foundation's advisory board, participating in the selection process of project partners and distribution of funds.
