We're helping NearSt hire a Senior Account Manager in London to own their biggest retail customers and report straight to the CEO. They're a team of eight with a plan to reach £10m in annual revenue with ten people - and AI agents doing the repetitive work.
If you've seen a product on Google marked as available in-store, there's a good chance NearSt is the plumbing behind it.
Location
London, UK - hybrid, 3 core days in the office (Mon, Tue, Thu)
The company
NearSt's mission is to get people into high street shops. It connects retailers' in-store stock to the web, so shoppers using everything from Google to Deliveroo can find and buy from local stores in real time - for retailers from small independents to national chains.
The role
You’ll own a portfolio of around twenty regional and national retailers, from multi-branch merchants to household-name chains, and be the person they trust to understand their business and prove the value NearSt delivers.
You’ll line-manage the Customer Support Specialist and shape how account management works here from the ground up.
What you'll do
- Own relationships with NearSt's largest customers, from Marketing Director to Store Manager
- Drive retention and growth - spot risk early and expand the strongest accounts
- Run business reviews that build the value story from campaign data (year on year, like-for-like, incrementality)
- Lead launches for new customers across their IT, EPOS and e-commerce teams, NearSt's engineers and Google
- Build the agents, tools and workflows that run your accounts - if the tool doesn't exist yet, you build it
Who we're looking for
- 5+ years in account management or customer success at a technical B2B SaaS business
- Or the equivalent from a digital agency, solving technical problems with customers - that counts just as much
- Credible with senior stakeholders, and able to hold a technical conversation without someone else in the room
- Analytical - you build and defend a value story with data
- AI-native - you use AI tools to build systems, not just to answer questions
Nice to have
- Google Merchant Centre, Local Inventory Ads or Shopping campaigns
- Retail, retail technology or multi-site businesses
- EPOS systems, product data or inventory feeds
What you get
- Stock options - a real stake in the company's success
- Your own AI budget (the team mostly runs on Claude)
- £1,000 a year for learning, plus a monthly wellness budget
- 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, and the office closes between Christmas and New Year
- Confidential therapy through Spill
- The latest MacBook and tools
Hiring process
- Screening interview, 30-45 minutes
- In-depth interview and a practical task based on the kind of account data you'd handle, 3 hours in person
- Culture interview, 1 hour in person
Good to know
- Full-time, hybrid: 3 core days in the London office (Mon, Tue, Thu), 2 flexible
- Level: Senior, 5+ years
- Start: in 1 to 3 months
