Are you an experienced Civils Estimator looking for more ownership, progression, and the opportunity to play a key role in a growing business? Lemon Drizzle Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established and expanding Civils Contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator to strengthen their growing pre-construction team in Wakefield. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing and strategically important area of the business, leading tendering activity across water frameworks throughout the North East and Yorkshire. You’ll join a supportive team environment where your technical expertise will be valued, your input will shape project wins, and genuine progression opportunities are available as the business continues to expand.
The Role
- Managing multiple enquiries across water frameworks throughout Yorkshire and the North East
- Reviewing tender documents and assessing project scope, risks, and delivery requirements
- Producing accurate take-offs and bills of quantities
- Preparing competitive and commercially robust estimates using Estimate software
- Obtaining, reviewing, and negotiating subcontractor quotations
- Working closely with operational teams, supply chain partners, clients, and stakeholders
- Leading tender submissions and supporting successful project awards
About You
- Previous experience estimating within civil engineering projects, ideally within the water sector
- Strong knowledge of foul water, fresh water, and associated infrastructure projects
- Experience working across framework agreements and understanding of current market rates
- Strong technical ability with excellent commercial awareness
- Established supply chain relationships across the North East (desirable but not essential)
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple tenders within a fast-paced environment
