A highways surfacing contractor based in Gateshead is seeking a Surfacing Operations & Estimating Lead. The role offers a salary of £50,000 - £70,000 plus car/car allowance and benefits.

What You’ll Do
- Lead surfacing estimating and pre-construction planning for highways projects
- Create accurate, practical programmes, methods, and pricing
- Provide technical expertise across asphalt surfacing operations
- Support site teams with guidance, problem-solving, and best practice
- Drive continuous improvement through post-job review and feedback
- Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, and Planning teams to shape delivery
- Mentor and develop colleagues, sharing your technical and commercial knowledge
