Salary - £30,000 pa
39 Hours per week: Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 16:30pm, Friday 08:00am – 15:30pm. Half hour lunch break each day.
Lemon Drizzle recruitment has been appointed to recruit a Fabrication & Assembly Operative for a manufacturer of security steel doors based in County Durham.

What you’ll be doing and be responsible for:
Working within the Manufacturing & Fabrication Department, manufacturing bespoke Steel Security Doors and associated hardware. This main function of this role will be basic MIG welding & General Fabrication & Assembly.
Skills and Experience required:
- Proficient in basic MIG welding processes.
- Have relevant workshop & sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Proficient in use of hand tools – grinding, cutting & drilling.
- Proficient in reading & understanding manufacturing drawings.
- Proficient in use of measuring equipment.
- Have the ability to carry out tasks quickly and accurately.
- Ability to inspect own work ensuring highest quality is achieved and dimensional accuracy is maintained.
- Keen eye and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow work instructions & standard operating procedures.
- Motivated, organised and good housekeeping skills are essential.
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
- Excellent time keeping and attendance.
- Good problem-solving skills with can-do attitude.
- Knowledge of Stock Control/Warehousing would be advantageous.
- Forklift truck experience desirable.
- Full UK driving licence desirable.
- ISO9001 experience desirable.
