My client is expanding its commercial team as part of its growing AMP8 workload and is looking to recruit talented commercial professionals from Assistant Quantity Surveyor through to Managing Quantity Surveyor level. With a strong pipeline of secured work with framework clients, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering genuine long-term career progression.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the commercial management of water infrastructure projects, ensuring financial control, contractual compliance and successful project delivery across NEC contracts. You'll oversee project costs from inception through to final account, producing valuations, CVRs and cost reports, managing subcontract procurement and payments, administering variations and change control, and maintaining accurate forecasting and cash flow. Working closely with operational teams, you'll play a key role in maximising commercial performance while ensuring projects are delivered successfully, safely and profitably. Typical project values range from £1m to £50m across the North East.

What We're Looking For

Applications are welcomed from Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Senior Quantity Surveyors, and Managing Quantity Surveyors. You'll ideally have:

  • Experience within construction, utilities or civil engineering
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts (particularly NEC4)
  • Experience producing valuations, CVRs and subcontract management
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)

Salaries are open to negotiation and will reflect your experience and level. Guide salaries:

  • Quantity Surveyor: £40,000 - £55,000

  • Managing Quantity Surveyor: £60,000 - £75,000+
