Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Draftsperson / Project Designer to their established Drawing Office team.
The Opportunity You will join a collaborative in-house design team consisting of a Design Director, Design Manager, and several Project Designers, working closely with Buying, Commercial, and Contracts teams in a truly team-focused environment.
This role would suit someone with 5+ years’ experience in roofing and cladding who is comfortable both collaborating with others and working independently to deliver high-quality design packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce 2D GA and detailed construction drawings
- Prepare material schedules and fabrication drawings
- Attend and contribute to design team meetings (including minute taking)
- Attend internal handover and design review meetings
- Carry out occasional site visits
- Plan and manage workload to meet project deadlines
- Proactively gather all required technical information
- Follow established company procedures and quality standards Skills & Experience Required
- Strong organisational skills and self-motivation
- Solid technical knowledge of roofing and cladding systems, including:
- Single-ply
- Hot melt
- Standing seam
- Built-up systems
- Composite roofing and wall systems
- Rainscreen façade experience (desirable)
- Proficient in Auto CAD (2D) and Microsoft Office
- Exposure to 3D modelling (Auto CAD 3D, Revit, Rhino, or similar) is advantageous What’s in it for You?
