Working on projects ranging from £500k to £10m, you'll take commercial responsibility across a diverse portfolio of earthworks, enabling works and ground remediation schemes for major commercial, industrial and residential developments throughout the UK. You'll enjoy a high level of autonomy while working alongside an approachable leadership team that values collaboration, recognises achievement and invests in its people.
The role is primarily office-based in Alfreton, with regular site visits, giving you the opportunity to remain closely involved in project delivery while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The Role
You'll manage the commercial aspects of multiple fast-paced projects from procurement through to final account, ensuring commercial performance is maximised and projects are delivered successfully. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and operational teams, you'll oversee subcontractor procurement, valuations, payment applications, cost reporting, forecasting, variations and change management, while identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.

About You
You'll be an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in earthworks, groundworks or civil engineering. A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management and a full UK driving licence are preferred.
