For our subsidiary based in Worthing, West Sussex we are currently looking to hire one person for the role of Business Development Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive organic growth by acquiring new business through premium interconnect solutions that exceed industry standards.
  • Grow and develop existing revenue streams with existing strategic customers.
  • Seek new business opportunities from targeted OEM customers.
  • Develop and execute key account management plans for top OEM customers.
  • Use first-class consultative sales skills to communicate to customers the features and benefits of LEMO products and services.
  • Identify, understand, engage and develop relationships with our customer’s Project Management, Technical and Commercial teams to understand their full business requirements.
  • Install and manage cross-functional relationships between the business and key OEM accounts.
  • Access sales opportunities and develop effective bid strategies to maximise the sales growth potential.
  • Effectively manage a sales pipeline of new business opportunities, ensuring a timely and efficient conversion of leads.
  • Diligently use CRM to effectively manage all key account action plans, new business opportunities and administrative tasks.
  • Gather market pricing information and make commercial recommendations to Senior Management.
  • Create, negotiate and close commercial agreements with the support of Senior Management.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor activities within major accounts, advising the business of major risks accordingly.
  • Compile bid proposals to enhance the customer understanding of the LEMO offer and the tangible benefits for the customer.

Profile:

  • Engineering background with a technical qualification (HNC or above in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering).
  • Experience of working with the electrical / fibre optic connector industry.
  • Working knowledge of the general electronics industries.
  • Ability to effectively interact with both Engineers & Commercial minded people.
  • Ability to effectively manage customer relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to work around business obstacles.
  • Excellent consultative selling skills needed to successfully win business based on value-based selling.
  • Positive mindset with high levels of personal drive, resilience and perseverance to convert business opportunities.
  • Ability to work both within a team environment and on their own initiative.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft package (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
  • Flexibility to accommodate irregular working hours & UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to travel abroad on occasions to fulfil company duties and to support working hours that benefit customer interactions.
