LeMieux has an exciting opportunity for a Womenswear Designer looking for a new challenge in a fast-growing global equestrian company. In this role, you will report to the Head of Design and be responsible for leading the design and development of your own categories whilst overseeing a small team of designers. Your expertise will contribute to the creative vision of the brand, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of functionality, quality and style.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design process for assigned categories, from concept to final production.
  • Work hand in hand with the wider design team to share ideas and ensure that collections are cohesive across categories, as well as with buying, merchandising and tech to ensure products are developed in line with our critical path.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment on product vision and goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and fostering a creative and productive environment, whilst driving innovation into the category.
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform design direction and innovation.
  • Develop and present design concepts, technical specifications, and prototypes.
  • Oversee the execution of design details, ensuring adherence to brand standards and quality requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies related to technical, performance wear.

Suitable applicants will display the following skills/experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in apparel design, with a focus on technical and performance wear.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing innovative designs and technical proficiency.
  • Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and performance technologies.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A team player.
  • Equestrian experience would be an advantage but not essential.
