The post-holder will work closely with colleagues across Marketing and Creative and the wider business to deliver best-in-class creative content and activations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the annual trade marketing calendar, aligning with seasonal campaigns and product launches, sales initiatives and promotions, and business objectives.
- Identify key moments within the marketing calendar, including product launches and promotions, to maximise visibility and impact across trade accounts and distributors.
- Partner and work closely with the ecommerce Trade Lead to ensure the trade website is current, aligns with the trade marketing calendar, and supports sales objectives and trade partners as effectively as possible.
- Create and manage communications for trade and distributor audiences, including targeted emails and trade web communications.
- Plan, agree and execute cooperative marketing activities with key trade accounts to achieve mutual growth objectives and leverage pivotal moments such as seasonal launches and new product launches.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with marketing teams/those responsible for marketing at key trade accounts, ensuring alignment on shared goals and cooperative marketing efforts.
- Partner with wider Sales team and Area Sales Managers to understand trade account needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Forge productive relationships with international distributors, aligning marketing initiatives where appropriate.
- Travel to and spend time with key trade accounts across the UK and, when required, international distributor locations to nurture relationships, understand needs, and drive growth.
- Oversee the development and production of trade brochures and lookbooks for seasonal launches, ensuring they reflect high-profile products as well as the full range, and critical calendar moments.
- Own, plan, deliver and attend B2B trade events, including identifying opportunities, securing agreements, and ensuring high-quality execution and key stakeholder alignment; and represent the brand at wider trade events as required.
- Establish regular touchpoints with trade partners and distributors to gather feedback and insights and ensure activities evolve to meet expectations and drive mutual success.
- Manage the trade marketing budget, tracking expenses, and optimising resources to maximise ROI.
Suitable applicants will display the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in trade marketing or a similar trade and/or distributor-facing role, preferably in the equestrian or lifestyle sector.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel within the UK to key accounts and occasionally internationally to distributors as required.
- Working knowledge of and experience using HubSpot or similar CRM system is advantageous.
- Knowledge of equestrian products and/or experience in the industry – as a rider or within business would be beneficial although not essential.
