Requirements

  • Commercial Thinker: You understand that running a credit product means managing a live portfolio with real money at stake — not just shipping features.
  • Data-Driven: You interrogate data yourself, fluent in vintage curves, conversion funnels, and decline reasons, and you use that detail to decide what's worth building next.
  • Hands-On Builder: You're in the detail with engineering — comfortable with technical trade-offs and genuinely invested in quality.
  • AI-Native: You reach for AI instinctively to remove toil, speed up delivery, and find leverage the team didn't know it had.
  • Clear Communicator: You translate complex portfolio and product trade-offs into simple, actionable narratives for leadership and stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of product management experience in consumer credit, lending, or fintech, with hands‑on exposure to managing a live lending portfolio.
  • Prior experience in credit risk, marketing analytics, finance, or data science — you've spent meaningful time in an analytical function, not just consumed dashboards from one.
  • Strong commercial instinct — fluent in unit economics, loss rates, conversion funnels, and vintage performance.
  • SQL fluency or equivalent; you don't wait on an analyst to form a point of view.
  • Demonstrable experience using AI tools to drive efficiency, quality, and delivery speed — with specific examples.
  • A track record of owning a roadmap and shipping outcomes that have moved meaningful business metrics.
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder management across risk, engineering, operations, and commercial.
  • Familiarity with credit decisioning, scorecards, or decision engines is a strong plus.

Don’t meet every single requirement in the job ad? Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often hesitate to apply if they don't check every box. If you are excited about this role and our mission, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might be just the right person for this, or other roles.

What the job involves

  • You will be the product owner driving our credit strategy and portfolio performance alongside the Credit Product Lead. As a Product Manager, your primary focus is owning the roadmap for your area — setting priorities, driving execution, and turning customer and portfolio insight into shippable outcomes that scale our credit products.
  • In this role you will directly shape how LemFi grows its credit business. By partnering with engineering, risk, and commercial teams, you will translate portfolio performance into product decisions — empowering the business to move fast on growth, risk, and customer experience across the entire lending lifecycle.
  • This is a hands‑on individual‑contributor role embedded within the Credit function, acting as a bridge between engineering, decision science, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Set sharp priorities across your product area, making commercial trade‑offs between growth, risk, customer experience, and unit economics.
  • Portfolio Diagnosis: Get into the detail of performance data — conversion, loss rates, activation, retention — and ship product changes that move the metrics that matter.
  • AI‑Powered Delivery: Use AI deliberately to remove friction from internal workflows, accelerate discovery and prototyping, and unlock product experiences that wouldn't otherwise be economic to build.
  • Engineering Partnership: Work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with engineering on requirements, edge cases, QA, and launch — not just running ceremonies.
  • End‑to‑End Credit Experience: Partner with the Credit Product Lead to deliver across acquisition, underwriting, servicing, and collections.
  • Stakeholder Management: Keep Credit Risk, Decision Science, Operations, Compliance, and Commercial aligned and bought in — while protecting the team's focus.
  • Performance Reporting: Track KPIs across acquisition, penetration, retention, loss, and unit economics, communicating results and trade‑offs clearly to leadership.
