We are looking for a talented and ambitious Designer (Industrial Design) to join our London studio. This role is particularly suited to designers with around

3+ years of professional experience who are looking to take the next step in their career within a leading design consultancy.

Experience in aviation, rail, automotive, mobility, consumer products or related sectors would be beneficial, although we welcome applications from candidates with strong design capabilities across any industry.

You will work as part of a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team and contribute to all stages of the design process, from research and insight generation through to concept development, visualisation, detailed design and implementation.

You will support the delivery of innovative products, services and experiences that create meaningful value for clients and users.

This role offers the opportunity to work on globally recognised brands and complex design challenges while developing your strategic thinking, design expertise and consultancy experience.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design projects from discovery through to implementation
  • Generate creative concepts and design solutions based on research and insight
  • Develop 3D CAD models and design proposals
  • Create compelling visualisations, presentations and storytelling materials
  • Conduct desktop research and support user-centred design activities
  • Translate research findings into clear design opportunities
  • Participate in ideation workshops and collaborative project sessions
  • Work closely with researchers, strategists, engineers and designers across disciplines
  • Present work confidently to internal teams and clients
  • Support project planning, reviews and design documentation
  • Produce detailed design solutions with consideration for manufacture and implementation
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative studio culture
  • Support business development activities, proposals and pitches where required

Skills & Experience (Required)

  • BA or MA degree in Industrial Design or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' professional industrial design experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, problem-solving and design excellence
  • Experience delivering projects from concept development through to detailed design
  • Strong sketching, visual communication and storytelling skills
  • Proficiency in Solid Works and/or Rhino
  • Strong visualisation skills using Blender or equivalent rendering software
  • Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills
  • Ability to communicate design ideas clearly and effectively
  • Understanding of design for manufacture and production processes
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Positive, proactive and collaborative attitude
  • Passion for innovation, design excellence and user-centred design

Skills & Experience (Desirable)

  • Experience in transport, mobility, aviation, rail, automotive or passenger experience projects
  • Experience working within a consultancy environment
  • Knowledge of CMF development
  • Experience facilitating workshops and collaborative ideation sessions
  • Prototyping and model-making experience
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled design workflows
  • Knowledge of Rhino and/or Alias
  • Experience working with international clients or teams
  • Additional language skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally when required

This position is based in our London studio.

Hybrid working is available, with team members expected to spend three days per week in the studio collaborating with colleagues and clients.
