Lawrie Demolition is Aberdeen’s oldest demolition company specialising in partial and complete demolition as well as reclamation and recycling.

The company have an opening for a demolition operative labourer. Experience is preferred but full ongoing training will be given to the right candidate.

A driving licence is preferred but not essential.

As part of our team applicants will be expected to have a hands-on, can do attitude and be able to follow instruction as well as work under their own initiative. This is a physical role and requires a modest level of fitness as well as being comfortable working in and outdoors in all weather.

The role will involve demolition labouring duties including soft stripping buildings, working at height as well as operating various power tools and small plant when and if the need arises, also preforming any other site duties while taking instruction from the site supervisor or chargehands. This is a varied job with the ability to learn, develop and use many different skills as your employment progresses.

A standard working week is 39 hours with overtime available but not guaranteed.

The job is based in Aberdeen but will occasionally involve working away from home for short periods. Accommodation and transport will be provided when this is necessary.

The hourly rate will depend on age and level of experience.
