We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join the talented kitchen team at our stunning hotel, The Alderley Edge. We are looking for an experienced CDP ready to develop their career. The successful candidate will run all sections of the kitchen, be used to working with delicious fresh food and have some banqueting event experience.

What a Junior Sous Chef does at the Alderley Edge:

  • Lead the team to run all sections of the kitchen
  • Support with menu development, stock management and maintaining a safe and compliant kitchen
  • Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members
  • Ensure that high standards and attention to detail are maintained, working with the team to achieve and maintain 5* Scores on the doors
  • Continuously motivate the team to make sure that fresh quality food is presented each time
  • The Sous Chef plays an integral role in training and development junior team members

With 50 stunning bedrooms and our superb Grill on the Hill restaurant offering a relaxed dining experience for up to 70 guests, the Alderley Edge Hotel is an iconic Cheshire institution. Our brigade of talented chefs work with the best fresh produce in our well equipped kitchen under the leadership of our talented Head Chef. With great facilities and an open pass, it’s a great place to work. You will have the opportunity to constantly develop and progress your career. We also offer a Lounge Bar menu and banqueting and events for up to 120 guests. Front of house, we offer a superb range of quality cocktails, excellent wines and premium spirits. We’re a close-knit team who strive to provide the very best in customer service. Whether back of house or out front, under the leadership of General Manager Linda, you will have the opportunity to be your best every day all whilst working as part of a fun and friendly team.
