We’re looking for a skilled Scrum Master to join our team and help us build high-performing, self-organising agile teams. The Scrum Master is part of the squad team and is responsible for the quality and optimisation of software development and technical delivery. You’ll be ensuring that the planned releases are appropriately tested and delivered to the release timeline while meeting quality expectations and protecting the integrity of the live environments.

As a Scrum Master, you will:

  • Have a passion for energising and inspiring people to work collaboratively and as an excellent team to deliver valuable solutions.
  • Foster continuous improvement through a proactive and can-do mindset.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove blockers and work closely with Product Owners and development teams to ensure smooth delivery of value, aligned with Scrum principles and best practices.
  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more squads, coaching them on Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Support the Product Owner in backlog refinement, ensuring clarity and prioritisation of work.
  • Actively work to identify and remove impediments that hinder squad progress.
  • Track and communicate squad progress using Agile metrics.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Act as a servant leader to the squad, shielding them from distractions and promoting team health.
  • Help the squad and stakeholders understand Agile values and empirical product development.
  • Promote transparency, an inspect & adapt mindset, and accountability across the squad.
  • Contribute to cross-squad collaboration.
  • Contribute to Fraser's agile community of practice. Share knowledge and best practices across the organisation to increase understanding and adoption of an agile mindset.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, especially Scrum.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I or higher) preferred.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Clear and concise communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, collaborative team environments.
  • Strong understanding of how to measure the performance of the squad.
  • Knowledge of software development processes.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Jira, ADO, Trello, MS Project, Miro and Mural.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Kanban, SAFe, XP) is a plus.
  • Experience in software development or a technical background.
  • Familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with automation techniques.
  • Familiarity with progressive testing practices (i.e. TDD, test automation).
  • Familiarity working on on-prem & cloud-based architectures.
  • Previous experience working with mobile, web or service-based teams.
  • Knowledge of scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus).
