Receptionist - Oxford If you enjoy delivering excellent service and working as part of a team, we have the perfect opportunity for you at our Abingdon, Didcot and Oxford Botley practices.

Please note that while this role is contractually based at one site, the successful applicant will work across all three of our sites: Abingdon Vets for Pets, Oxford Vets for Pets, and Didcot Vet for Pets.

Duties are shared between sites, so complete flexibility to work across all locations is essential.

A valid driving licence and access to your own transport would be advantageous.

  • What your typical day will look like
  • Provide exceptional service to clients and ensure the best care for their pets, acting as a vital link between clients and the clinical team.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, their pets, and the practice team to ensure ongoing trust and satisfaction.
  • Deliver excellent client service during visits, ensuring clients leave feeling valued and confident in the care received.
  • Greet clients and provide support, guidance, and expertise while confidently managing payments and future bookings.
  • Coordinate the smooth day-to-day running of the practice using our online booking system, so strong computer Literacy is essential.
  • Manage a range of administrative duties including booking appointments, handling payments, recalls, care plans, insurance, registering ID chips, cashing up, completing end-of-day checks, and ensuring the overall smooth operation of the practice.

This is a full-time role working 40 Hours per week with 1 in 4 weekends.

  • Previous veterinary reception experience is desirable but not essential.
