We are currently recruiting for a Food Midi Space Analyst on a 12‑month Fixed Term Contract. The food midi space analysts sit within the supply chain function alongside the floor planning team. They are pivotal to planning all midi food space activity, ensuring the category scope is reflected in store and supportive to commercial asks.
You will be accountable for the end‑to‑end midi space changes in stores, including existing superstores, supercentres, supermarkets and the newly cohabited express stores. You will manage your own workload, stakeholder communication and expectations throughout the critical path, ensuring all stages are delivered to a high standard with detail to ensure smooth delivery in each stage of the critical path.
We have a fantastic team of experienced midi space analysts to support and assist you throughout. We work in a fast‑paced environment, constantly looking to simplify processes. You’ll work collaboratively with modular planning, commercial and property and must have strong communication skills with the ability to influence and cascade.
Responsibilities:- Produce store‑specific recommendations using a range of data sets to support the strategic and commercial scope.
- Work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders including modular planning, floor planning, commercial and property.
- Support the wider team to ensure flows and adjacency models are up‑to‑date and fit for purpose, so all stores are properly modelled and changes approved in line with expectations.
- Check store‑specific space data to ensure all plans meet strategic and commercial space requirements.
- Land the commercial strategy while protecting operational metrics in stores.
- Present store recommendations in a meeting‑style forum, communicating openly, influencing and cascading project proposals to sponsors and incorporating feedback.
- Produce accurate data records of confirmed scope for all projects, enabling accurate implementation across modular build teams.
- Work across various format types and workstreams – from superstores to convenience, single‑store projects to multi‑site projects – building on the required skillsets for each.
- Manage your own workload, prioritise projects and ad‑hoc requests, ensuring project milestones are achieved.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring the information shared with the wider team meets the highest standard.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be confident presenting your work.
- Apply data analytics skills to identify trends.
- Adapt to significant change and challenges, finding creative ways to overcome barriers.
- Be computer literate with good experience of MS Excel and Powerpoint.
The role requires experience in supply chain, floor planning, commercial analysis, data analysis, and stakeholder management.
