We are looking for a Swim Academy Coordinator (Part Time) to join our Product Team.
The Swim Academy Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day to day delivery and success of Virgin Active's Learn to Swim programme.
Working closely with club teams and the UK National Swim Manager, you will help deliver exceptional member experiences, support instructor development and drive strong programme performance.
The Role
- Support the delivery and performance of the Learn to Swim programme within your club(s).
- Monitor lesson occupancy, waitlists and attendance, helping to maximise participation and member retention.
- Ensure swim programme systems, timetables and bookings are accurately maintained.
- Support the onboarding, coaching and ongoing development of swim instructors.
- Deliver on pool observations, feedback and guidance to improve lesson quality and consistency.
- Help create a seamless member journey, from initial assessment through to long term progression.
- Monitor key performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve programme performance.
- Support local promotion and awareness of swim products to drive participation and engagement.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety, safeguarding and programme delivery are maintained.
- Collaborate with club teams to deliver a consistent, high quality Learn to Swim experience.
Experience
- Recognised Level 2 Swim Teaching Qualification (STA, Swim England or equivalent).
- Experience delivering or supporting Learn to Swim programmes within a commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of swim lesson delivery and member progression.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience coaching, supporting or mentoring swim instructors.
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for delivering exceptional member experiences and helping people achieve their goals.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Great to Have
- Level 3 Swim Coaching Qualification or equivalent aquatic certification.
- Experience using leisure management and booking systems.
- Experience analysing programme performance and member engagement data.
- Experience delivering intensive courses, squads or additional swim products.
