About the Venue: The Brewery is an awarding winning event venue in the heart of City of London, delivering events from the extravagant to the discreet, for hundreds of customers or for a handful. We pride ourselves on a faultless service from the moment an enquiry is made through to follow up meetings post event. We have twelve rooms within The Brewery Venue and are still expanding.
Role Purpose: We're looking for a passionate and hands-on Lead Head Chef to help drive exceptional food experiences in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen environment. Working closely with the Head of Food and Delivery Head Chef, you'll lead your section, inspire the kitchen brigade and ensure every dish meets the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong chef leader who thrives in events, loves developing teams and takes pride in delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a designated kitchen section (Larder, Pastry or Mains), ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Deliver consistently high-quality food while following recipes, portion control and presentation standards.
- Support the delivery of large-scale events, tastings and client experiences.
- Maintain the venue's 5 food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train, mentor and motivate the kitchen team, leading by example in a hands-on environment.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and ensure effective stock rotation and waste control.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure exceptional guest dining experiences.
- Stay ahead of food trends and contribute ideas to support menu development and innovation.
