Part of Oak View Group (OVG), Rhubarb is a premium hospitality collective specialising in luxury event catering, restaurant dining and hospitality. Rhubarb deliver unique dining and venue management at some of the worlds most iconic locations.
Managed by Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, the iconic Royal Albert Hall operation consists of 3 restaurants, 14 bars, 1 retail outlet, 147 hospitality boxes and events for up to 2000 people.
We are looking for an Assistant Bars Manager to join our team at the Royal Albert Hall. The Royal Albert Hall bars consist of 16 unique outlets across the venue, each offering a different concept, menu, and customer experience to keep things dynamic and exciting.
All of our bars offer something different, so versatility and the ability to thrive in a varied environment are key to this role. Being an efficient communicator and strong organiser is essential to ensure our team delivers outstanding service and our guests are consistently well looked after.
We're looking for a hands-on, customer-focused manager from a fast-paced bar, lounge, or food retail environment. Personality and presence are just as important as experience.
We have an excellent track record of developing and promoting from within - career progression is readily available for those who seek it.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the Bars Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations across multiple bar outlets
- Leading from the front to deliver exceptional customer service in a high-volume environment
- Supervising, training, and motivating bar teams to maintain high service and product standards
- Assisting with stock management, ordering, and wastage control
- Ensuring all bars are fully compliant with licensing, health & safety, and company procedures
- Building strong relationships with team members and creating a positive working environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Supervisor or Assistant Manager in a busy bar, hospitality, or retail environment
- A confident leader who can motivate and engage a diverse team
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
