Lifeguards have a high level of responsibility and require a valid NPLQ qualification, attention to detail, and the ability to respond appropriately to the pool environment. You'll work from poolside for all sessions with our Swimming Teacher and ratio'd staff teams.

Lifeguards need to ensure all children and support staff adhere to our policies, and the venue's Normal Operating Procedure and Emergency Action Plan throughout.
Swim sessions typically last between 30 – 45 minutes. Session times and pool availability will vary, but we typically run sessions between 9.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. This role can also be accompanied with the Multi Sports Coach role if you're looking for more hours around swim sessions.
Working hours: Flexible between 9:30am-3:30pm Monday- Friday. Exact working hours also dependent upon the availability of the pool and the numbers of children attending.
Person Specification (Ideal, but with some flexibility)
Required experience: 6-12 months' lifeguarding experience, ongoing lifeguarding/water safety training.
Required qualifications: You'll need to hold one of the following: Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC), STA Safety Award for Teachers. Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Required attributes: Understanding of risk, willing to make decisions and take action in relation to water safety, able to communicate effectively with children and staff, calm, and able to follow procedure, vibrant, resilient, team player, flexible and adaptable.
