Bamford Collection is a dynamic and growing company operating across three distinctive brands within the retail, hospitality, accommodation and pub sectors. Our portfolio includes luxury pubs, a private members club, accommodation, hospitality and retail spaces. All located in the heart of the picturesque Cotswolds. With a commitment to quality, sustainability, and exceptional guest experience, we are seeking a highly capable Head of Maintenance to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract.ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking an experienced Head of Maintenance for a 12 Months Fixed Term Contract.You will take ownership of all property and facilities maintenance across the Bamford Collection business, leading a team of in-house professionals and managing external contractors. This role ensures that all locations are maintained to the highest standard, compliant with all relevant legislation, and operating efficiently. You will be responsible for implementing a structured maintenance strategy, managing budgets, and supporting operational excellence across our diverse portfolio.Based at the Daylesford Farm, Gloucestershire with travel to other sites. therefore a full clean driving license required.ANNUAL SALARY: 48,000 – 52,000HOURS: 40 hours a week including weekends.Flexibility & Call-Out RequirementDue to the dynamic nature of our operations, this role requires a high degree of flexibility. The successful candidate must be willing and able to respond to out-of-hours callouts as and when needed. This includes evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays, depending on business demands. A proactive and adaptable approach is essential to ensure continuity of service and to support the team during critical situations.RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership & Management Lead and oversee the maintenance team, ensuring clear communication and effective task delegation. Manage and coordinate third-party contractors and service providers. Establish and implement a clear maintenance plan covering both reactive and preventative maintenance Property & Asset Management Maintain the condition and functionality of all buildings, systems, and facilities. Oversee small capital projects, refurbishments, and ongoing site improvements. Ensure efficient handling of repairs and service issues to minimise disruption to operations. Compliance & Health and Safety Ensure all sites comply with relevant health and safety legislation and statutory requirements. Maintain up-to-date records for fire safety, electrical/gas certifications, water hygiene, and other legal obligations. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments across all locations. Budgeting & Reporting Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost control and value for money. Provide regular updates to senior management, highlighting key issues, progress on projects, and performance metrics. Contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives. SKILLS YOU WILL BRING Demonstrable experience in a senior maintenance or facilities leadership role, ideally across hospitality, accommodation, or multi-site operations. Strong technical knowledge of building services, systems maintenance, and property compliance. Experience managing direct reports and coordinating external contractors. Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Excellent working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation. Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel across Cotswolds-based sites. Desirable: Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, City & Guilds in mechanical/electrical disciplines).
