The Beck Theatre is a vibrant west London venue presenting a mix of live performance and events. Parkwood Theatres have secured a 10 year contract to manage the 600 seat theatre. Parkwood prides itself on delivering exceptional experiences for our audiences and artists alike, by nurturing a welcoming, inclusive and diverse environment for all.
Responsible for overseeing the smooth running of all aspects of the theatre's day-to-day operations, ensuring a positive audience experience by managing front-of-house staff, maintaining the building's upkeep, enforcing safety protocols, and coordinating administrative tasks, all while prioritising a positive working environment for staff.
The role demands significant cross-company working and close engagement with Parkwood Theatres central executive team, other Parkwood Theatre Operations Managers, our Client London Borough of Hillingdon and the wider Parkwood Leisure head office support teams.
- Manage daily theatre operations, ensuring performances and events run safely and efficiently.
- Oversee Front of House, Box Office, and Technical & Facilities teams.
- Develop and implement health & safety, licensing, and compliance procedures.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and staffing to meet operational and financial targets.
- Following events being created by the central programming team to liaise with visiting companies, promoters, and suppliers to support smooth event delivery.
- Lead on audience experience initiatives and uphold accessibility and inclusion standards.
- Support venue maintenance, security, and emergency planning.
You’ll bring strong leadership and organisational skills, a calm head under pressure and a passion for live theatre. You should have:
- Proven experience in venue or theatre operations management.
- Knowledge of health & safety, risk assessment, and licensing requirements.
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
