Urban Pubs, Bars and Restaurants are currently recruiting for a talented and highly skilled General Manager with personality & charisma for our expanding group. With an eclectic mix of properties and new openings to suit your personality and style, this really is an exciting time to join a people focused and progressive operations led business.
On the menu, our all-day food offer focuses on seasonality and sharing - from small plates to hearty gastropub classics - while weekends are all about Saturday brunch and stunning Sunday roasts. Behind the bar you'll find the best of London's craft beer scene, classic cocktails, small-batch gins and artisan wines. Located opposite Balham station, we're the perfect spot for a few pints, a quick bite, or dinner with friends and family, and our street-side terrace is made for al fresco drinking and dining.
The Role
- As GM you will take full ownership of all aspects of running the venue. You will be given autonomy and run the site as if it were your own business.
- Being business savvy and demonstrating great commercial acumen is a must.
- Your team will look up to you, it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction.
- You have impeccable floor, bar and late night experience knowledge as well as late night experience.
- You will be given the opportunity to train, personally develop and progress your career as the company continues to grow.
What we are looking for:

- Be cool, calm and collected, manage pressure with ease, nothing can phase you.

- Must have minimum 2 years' experience as a general manager depending on the property being looked at.
- Solid communication and organisational skills, be approachable.
- Superb customer & floor service skills.
- Excellent all-round business knowledge from financials to customer satisfaction.
- An entrepreneurial flair.
- Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team but most importantly, loves to have fun.
- Personal License holder beneficial.
