We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Stirling, United Kingdom. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to our kitchen's success in a Monday to Friday role.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef and sous chef, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Manage your designated station, overseeing the production of all assigned dishes
- Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and efficient operations
- Assist in menu development, offering creative input and suggestions for improvement
- Ensure proper stock rotation and minimise food waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, particularly in your designated area
- Mentor and support junior kitchen staff as needed
- Adapt to changing menu requirements and seasonal ingredients
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen
- Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, with relevant certifications (e.g., Food Hygiene Certificate)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Creativity in dish presentation and flavour combinations
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menu requirements and seasonal ingredients
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work in a hot kitchen environment
- Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent qualification (preferred)
