The King William reopened in 2023 under Wells & Co management following a total major refurbishment which has transformed the pub, adding to its olde worlde charm and providing all the facilities expected of a contemporary managed pub. The King William dates back to the 1600s, making it one of the oldest buildings in Kempston and a local institution, attracting a loyal crowd from Kempston as well as visitors from nearby Bedford and Milton Keynes. With a reputation built upon wholesome quality pub food, the King William is renowned for its warm welcome and enticing environment. Grade II listed, with flagstone floors, a feature fireplace, and a spacious garden, it embodies the charm of a delightful country pub.
Position
Supervisor duties include:
- Taking responsibility for the customer journey, ensuring their experience is second to none
- Taking accurate orders and working closely with kitchen staff
- Ensuring payments and receipts are correct
- Confidently recommending menu and drinks offerings
- Observing service and standards and reporting any incidents or issues
- Being a supportive and proactive leader
Requirements
You will need to demonstrate:
- Previous leadership experience in a hospitality or customer-facing environment
- Enthusiasm and passion for food and beer
- The ability to deliver excellent customer service and great teamwork in a fast-paced and pressurised environment
- A result-driven and ambitious individual keen to develop your career and your teams
