Assistant Director of Security & Operational Risk We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Security and Operational Risk to assist the Director and Assistant Director of Security & Operational Risk in managing, training and evaluating the daily security operations ensuring a strong focus on the safety and security of The Peninsula London guests, residents, colleagues and hotel assets. An exceptional opportunity to join our high-profile flagship hotel in London Market leading remuneration, service charge and attractive benefits Join our award-winning group, working alongside a highly experienced team Key accountabilities Assist the Director of Security and Operations Risk in directing, administering and supervising, planning, coordinating and participating in the activities of the Security Department engaged in the implementation of the Hotel\’s security and safety procedures Coordinate and deliver all aspects of the Properties Security Program(s) within the Peninsula London Residences under the direction of the Director of Security and Operational Risk Under the direction of Director of Security and Operational Risk, implement policies and procedures in accordance with property/ corporate security and loss control requirements to ensure security personnel provide maximum guest, employee, and property safety and security at all times, as stipulated in the Group SOR Framework. Collect local intelligence and identify potential hazards and risks within the region, prioritize their importance and likehood of occurrence and report to Property senior management Research and recommend new and updated trends in loss control and prevention Identify areas of non- compliance in business operation; recommends corrective action to remedy deficiencies Manage investigations and reports of all employee and guest incidents and provide accurate docurmentation Provide oversight and supervision of the contracted security agency in providing security services to effectively meet the security requirements of the Property Participate actively in the Health & Safety Committee meetings and identify areas of concerns directly related to health & safety and takes necessary actions to address such concerns Coordinate and manage effectively the property\’s safety management system General requirements At least 5 years as security manager or similar role within hotels Previous track record of relevant working experience in similar capacity in a similar environment. SIA Licence Holder. Excellent knowledge of security industry best practice across relevant security operations (loss prevention, conflict resolution, access control…) Knowledge of security and crisis management related law and regulation. Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g CCTV) and solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis Ability to communicate with influence with management, employees, visitors, fire/ police, disaster management & recovery personnel, etc. The ability to remain calm in stressful situations with a strong ability to use initiative Fluent English communication proficiency.
