Right now, we're looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous Greenkeeper to ensure our golf course and estate grounds remain spectacular, playable, and pristine year-round.

The Role: Your Contribution to the Village

Reporting directly to the Golf Course & Estates Manager and the Deputy Head Greenkeeper, you will be the guardian of our greens. You will carry out all golf course and grounds maintenance work to our exacting departmental standards, ensuring a flawless experience for every golfer and guest.

  • The Turf Expert: Preparing the course for play through switching, brushing, mowing, scarifying, aerating, and irrigating. You'll handle top dressing, turf conditioning, divot repairs, and full turf renovation.
  • The Estate Guardian: Managing all aspects of garden maintenance around the property, including weed and moss identification, disease control, and monitoring the estate for potential issues (like unstable trees).
  • The Machinery Master: Safely operating specialized machinery, carrying out basic daily checks, and reporting any faults or stock shortages to ensure everything functions perfectly.
  • The Specialist: Carrying out the spraying of pesticides and herbicides (if you hold PA1, PA2, and PA6 qualifications) and undertaking additional maintenance, such as chainsaw work on trees, lakes, and ponds (if qualified).
  • The Ambassador: Assisting guests in a friendly, efficient manner, while confidently advising the Supervisor on duty if golfers are breaking course rules and etiquette.
