A well-established retail business is seeking a Kitchen Manager for a permanent position near Crawley. This role offers a 38-hour contract with day shifts only and a salary of circa £41,000 plus benefits.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing all aspects of the kitchen operation
- Completing tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
- Having knowledge of running all sections, supporting team members as required
- Managing a kitchen team of up to 10 staff members during peak periods
- Enforcing Health & Safety, EHO and HACCP standards and procedures
- Organising staff schedules, ensuring all holiday, sickness and absences are correctly noted and adequate cover provided
- Overseeing all recruitment and training of new team members
- Liaising with other departments in the business as part of the senior management team
- Completing stock checks, audits and ordering
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen
- Knowledge of counter service delivery
- A good understanding of kitchen processes and Health & Safety legislation
- The ability to follow menu guides and ensure consistency on dishes
