A well-established retail business is seeking a Kitchen Manager for a permanent position in Farnham, offering a 38-hour contract with day shifts only and a salary of up to £38,000 plus benefits.
The venue operates five large restaurants across the South of England, providing breakfast and lunch dining. The kitchen offers full breakfast service until 11.30am and a variety of hot food options, including fresh pizzas, home-cooked pies, and an on-site carvery.
As Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all aspects of the kitchen operation
- Completing tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
- Having knowledge of running all sections and supporting team members as required
- Managing a kitchen team of up to 10 staff members during peak periods
- Enforcing Health & Safety, EHO, and HACCP standards and procedures
- Organising staff schedules, ensuring all holiday, sickness, and absences are correctly noted
- Overseeing recruitment and training of new team members
- Liaising with other departments as part of the senior management team
- Completing stock checks, audits, and ordering
The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen and knowledge of counter service delivery, kitchen processes, and Health & Safety legislation. You should be able to follow menu guides and ensure consistency in dishes.
