A well-established Accountancy Practice with offices in Bournemouth and Poole is looking for an Accountant to join their team. Currently employing circa 15 team members across 2 offices, they are seeking someone to take control of an established client bank due to an increased volume of new business.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of industry sectors, including attending client meetings and building strong relationships.
- Handling all aspects of accountancy, including preparing and submitting all tax and VAT returns, year-end accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Providing proactive advice and guidance to clients to help them achieve their business goals.
- Identifying opportunities to add value through additional services.
- Ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining high standards of client service.
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Be ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified, with relevant experience in a practice environment.
- Have a strong understanding of VAT, statutory accounts, and compliance processes.
- Demonstrate excellent client management skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Work on your own initiative and manage your own workflow.
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Have experience using relevant accountancy software and systems.
This is a well-established independent business with a loyal and hard-working team, looking for someone who can fit into a friendly team environment.
- Based on experience, there is an initial salary offer from £35,000 upwards.
