An outstanding opportunity for a Sales Manager to lead 2 membership advisors at one of the most impressive leisure centres in Sunderland. This is one of the premier sports facilities in the North East, featuring ski slopes, an athletic track, outdoor sports pitches, a 135 station state-of-the-art gym, tennis courts, a swimming pool, indoor cycling, and a group exercise studio with a full range of classes. The Centre operates at the heart of the local area with many local schools and community groups taking advantage of the outstanding facilities.

We are looking for a candidate with a proven background in managing a sales team, who is passionate about fitness and who will work a combination of shifts during the week between the hours of 10-8pm Monday to Friday and 10-6pm working 1 in 3 weekends.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring your team hit their daily activity targets for generating appointments and conducting tours/selling memberships.
  • Hands on, you will also be selling memberships and have your own sales target to achieve.
  • Follow up all online and in-person enquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Proactively generate leads and referrals from existing members and those using guest passes.
  • Build and develop partnerships with local businesses, schools, and community groups.
  • Work closely with the central marketing teams to deliver digital and print sales and awareness campaigns.
  • Upsell premium health and wellness membership packages to new and existing members.

In addition to a basic salary of £30,000, there is monthly commission that will typically pay out up to £400/month for meeting both individual and team sales targets, with accelerated targets doubling the commission earning potential.
