This is a great opportunity for a club manager to run a premium and well-established health and fitness club in Guildford. The club offers members a multi-level gym, sauna and steam room with a Brass Monkey cold plunge recovery pool and a studio timetable of 100 classes including Les Mills as well as a popular learn to swim programme. It has a membership base of 2000 and has an excellent reputation locally for delivering a premium member experience to a loyal and discerning clientele through including a fitness manager, 3 duty managers, a sales consultant and a team of fitness instructors and the front of house team.

As the club manager you will be front of house and highly visible across the club, coaching and developing your team and ensuring that the members receive great service and interactions on each visit. We are looking for energy, passion and real pride in leading your team and club to further success, with an ideal background being an existing club manager or potentially a head of department from a large health club or leisure centre looking to step into their first club management role.

As club manager you will typically be working Monday to Friday and you will not be responsible for opening or closing although on occasions this will be required to cover for illness or holidays.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Drive and ensure the club delivers the company brand standards and ways of working.
  • Delivering outstanding member retention levels and the highest levels of member referrals.
  • Experience managing health and safety including across the pool and spa.
  • Creating and developing a highly engaged team across the club.
  • Meet and exceed both sales and retention targets.
  • Working closely with the regional team to achieve all commercial targets.

In addition to a basic salary of 40K, there is the opportunity to earn an annual bonus of 10%, benefits include 31 days annual leave (including bank holidays), free gym membership, Smart Health Online GP Access, Death in Service x 3 and a multiple discounts platform.
