General Manager β Kingston
Β£47,500 basic, Β£60K OTE
We are looking for a General Manager to oversee a high-footfall leisure centre in Kingston, with a membership base of 2,300 and a similar number on the learn-to-swim programme. The centre turns over more than Β£2.5m per annum and is very much at the heart of the local community. You will be supported by a management team including sales, fitness, operations, and learn-to-swim, along with three Duty Managers and a large team of front-of-house staff, fitness instructors, and lifeguards. You will be working for a sector-leading operator who highly values integrity, accountability, and the delivery of a high-quality leisure service, now further enhanced by multiple health and wellness partnerships and initiatives within the community.
As General Manager, you will have opportunities to make a positive impact on the bottom line by:
- Providing engaging and inspirational coaching and leadership to your team.
- Optimising programming to further grow learn-to-swim numbers.
- Meeting and exceeding targets for fitness memberships and attrition.
- Taking full financial accountability for profit and loss, income, and expenditure.

We are keen to hear from candidates who are either already running a large multipurpose wet and dry leisure club, or from high-performing AGMs or Operations Managers working for a leading family-focused private members\β club who are looking to step into their first General Management position.
In addition to a basic salary of Β£47,500, there is the opportunity to earn up to 30% of this as bonus.
