We are looking for an ambitious, energizing and customer centric Front of House Manager to manage the reception department and support with running the whole centre as a Duty Manager for a newly refurbished busy state-of-the-art sports, swimming, fitness and leisure centre in Bristol.

This is a development role with the post holder undertaking a comprehensive training and development plan to learn about centre operations from the ground up with a view to moving into a higher management position in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and motivate the front of house team to ensure guests and members receive outstanding customer service at every stage of their customer journey.
  • Manage the reception department including scheduling, cost control, customer journey process management and promoting services to increase income.
  • Support the overall running of the centre on a shift basis as a Duty Manager.
  • Work a mixture of early shifts (6am-3pm), late shifts (2.45pm-11pm) and 1 in 3 weekends (7am-6pm).

The ideal candidate:

  • A demonstrable passion for the sports, health and fitness industry with the ambition to progress your career in this industry.
  • Operational shift management and key holder experience within similar high-volume sports, leisure, entertainment, fitness, hospitality or retail business.
  • Supervisory/people leadership experience possibly as a Supervisor, Team Leader, Shift Manager, Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, Deputy Manager, Reception Manager or Customer Service Manager.
  • The capacity to complete your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (you must be able to swim) Pool plant Operators certificate and First Aid at Work if you do not already hold them (paid by the company) so that you can start to do DM shifts.
  • The flexibility to work a mixture of shifts.
  • Have your own transport or already live close to Bristol BS10.
