Food & Beverage Manager - Private Country Club, Cambridgeshire £40,000 basic
We are seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Food & Beverage Manager to lead the hospitality operation at one of Cambridgeshire's premier private country clubs.
Set within stunning surroundings, our exclusive country club offers an award-winning championship golf course, a state-of-the-art health club, luxury spa facilities, swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms, together with a 60 seat restaurant, bar, a terrace that seats 120 guests and exceptional event spaces for weddings, conferences, and private function room that seats 250.

The Role
As Food & Beverage Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and profitability of all food and beverage operations across the club. Working closely with the Chef and senior leadership team, you will ensure consistently high standards of service, maximise revenue opportunities, and create memorable experiences for members, guests, and event clients.
You will inspire and develop a high-performing team, ensuring that every department delivers exceptional service while operating efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all food and beverage operations, including the restaurant, bar, events, weddings, conferences, and member functions.
- Drive revenue growth through innovative promotions, seasonal offerings, and outstanding guest experiences.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, stock control, purchasing, and cost management to achieve financial targets.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop a motivated and engaged hospitality team.
- Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, beverage service, presentation, and customer care.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef to develop menus that meet member and guest expectations while delivering strong margins.
- Oversee the successful delivery of weddings, corporate events, and private functions.
- Monitor performance through KPIs, guest feedback, and financial reporting, implementing improvements where required.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, licensing, health & safety, and company policies.
- Build strong relationships with members, guests, suppliers, and colleagues across the business.
About You
We're looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on leader who combines commercial awareness with a genuine passion for hospitality.
You will have:
- Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Manager or Senior Food & Beverage Supervisor within a quality hotel, golf club, country club, or premium hospitality venue.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour costs, and profitability.
- Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and memorable guest experiences.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience delivering high-quality weddings, events, and conference hospitality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of food safety legislation, licensing requirements, and health & safety compliance.
- A proactive, positive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
