Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a Cluster Technical/Maintenance Manager to oversee building services for two large technically advanced multi-purpose sports leisure and fitness centres around Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey. Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead on asset management including planned and reactive maintenance, lifecycle planning, building management systems (BMS), technologically advanced HVAC systems, electro-mechanical plant and pool plant operations.
  • Ensure statutory and contract compliance across the facilities incorporating environmental, health and safety policies.
  • Ongoing management of contractors and subcontractors, working with multiple stakeholders to resolve building services issues.
  • Monitor effective energy management and use data analysis to reduce consumption and carbon without compromising customer experience.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and produce clear reporting and insights on building performance, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Manage an assistant maintenance/technical manager who will be more hands-on.
  • Typically working Monday to Friday but available outside of these hours in the event of an emergency.

The Ideal Person:

  • Facilities/building services/technical/engineering/maintenance management experience in high-volume customer service orientated facilities like health and fitness, leisure, healthcare, hotels or hospitality.
  • Experienced in managing advanced HVAC systems and is technically minded/has a technical/engineering/trade qualification.
  • Experienced in managing PPM and BMS systems I.T. software, and utilising this for monitoring and reporting.
  • Experienced managing sub/contractors and expenditure budgets.
  • Pool Plant operator/swimming pool/spa experience is highly desirable, but training could be provided if otherwise very capable.
  • Has a UK driving licence and your own vehicle to travel between the two centres.
