We are looking for a Sales & Retention Manager to drive membership sales and participation across several fitness, swimming and sports centres whilst enhancing the customer journey to retain customers. You would be working for a progressive Leisure Trust whose mission is to increase the health, fitness and activity levels of all the residents of Luton regardless of their background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver in-reach and outreach activities to generate new leads for the centres, build partnerships with local corporates and community groups.
  • Lead a small team of sales consultants, ensuring they are trained to follow a clear sales process and can deliver on KPI’s set to hit weekly and monthly targets.
  • Manage the prospect and member database to ensure customers take advantage of all they have to offer.
  • Follow up renewals and act on customer feedback to maximise retention.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to contribute to the overall marketing strategy, the products and services they offer and ensure they offer a seamless customer experience at every touchpoint.

Ideal Person

  • An outgoing self-starter, able to work under one’s own initiative.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in developing and leading outreach activity, ideally within a health and fitness environment.
  • Team leadership experience as a supervisor, trainer or manager.
  • A demonstrable passion for health and fitness and improving the health and wellness of the whole community.
  • Can reliably commute to Luton daily.
