We are working with one of the most exciting and successful commercial leisure & lifestyle operators in the U.K. who have been growing through acquisitions and by enhancing their services over the past 5 years. With new equity partners, they are now executing their ambitious business plan to double their size over the next 5 years, so it is an exciting time to be joining them.
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, the Senior Marketing Manager post is a new elevated role to the business who will own, drive and execute the strategic marketing plan for the company to increase customer acquisition, customer retention, grow revenue and help enhance the brand.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the company marketing strategy, ensuring brand consistency, quality, and competitive differentiation across all touchpoints.
- Drive customer acquisition and growth, planning and executing integrated campaigns across digital, traditional, and experiential channels.
- Own customer retention and engagement, strengthening loyalty through targeted programmes.
- Manage budgets, agencies, and suppliers, ensuring high-quality, on-brand execution and measurable ROI.
- Lead and develop your small marketing team, building capability, accountability, and a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate across Sales and Operations, aligning marketing activity with business priorities and maximising impact.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience in a senior marketing role with responsibility for delivering measurable commercial results in a fast-paced dynamic commercial business.
- Proficiency in customer acquisition, brand positioning, digital marketing and marketing pipeline development.
- Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Experience in managing people, budgets, agencies and external partners.
- The agility and organisational skills to pivot between strategic planning and hands-on delivery.
- Excellent presentation and written skills, able to confidently present to and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Financial fluency – ability to talk about commercial metrics, not just marketing metrics.
- Flexible to work circa 3 days in the Long Eaton head office, with some remote working, site visits and the occasional weekend trade show.
- A driving licence, your own vehicle and living within commuting distance of Long Eaton.
- Ideally experience of working within a similar multi-site, multi-faceted nationwide B2C lifestyle business such as health & fitness, hotels & hospitality, holiday parks & travel or property sales where lead generation and customer acquisition is a central focus.
- Has a passion for outdoor leisure.
