A leading leisure trust operates eight sports, fitness and leisure facilities across Herefordshire, including six wet and dry centres that together generate a combined turnover of roughly £7.75m per annum. With 68 years remaining on its lease, the trust offers strong security for long-term strategic decisions. The Partnership/Contract Manager will lead this leisure management contract, delivering commercial performance, operational excellence and community health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • This senior leadership role is responsible for commercial performance, operational excellence and the delivery of community health outcomes.
  • You will lead and coach a team of General Managers, closely supported by Central Teams, to drive commercial income across all sites and work with community partners to align health and wellbeing within the county.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in multi‐site sports/fitness/leisure management, such as Contract Manager, Partnership Manager, Area Manager, Cluster General Manager or Senior General Manager.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to plan effectively and deliver against financial targets.
  • A solid understanding of the sports and leisure sector and its role in supporting community health and wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships.
  • Analytical, operational and strategic planning skills, combined with a proactive and solutions‐focused mindset.
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites.
  • Living within commuting distance of Herefordshire or willingness to relocate promptly.
