We are working with a successful and ambitious operator of golf and hospitality venues to find a Head of Finance who will be responsible for financial control, management reporting, FP&A, audit, statutory reporting and business partnering across the organisation. Reporting to the CFITO, this is a hands-on opportunity for a qualified finance leader who can combine strong technical capability with commercial insight, helping drive performance, improve financial processes and support strategic decision-making across a fast-paced, multi-site business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, financial modelling and performance analysis across the business.
  • Manage the year-end audit process and statutory reporting requirements, ensuring compliance and strong financial governance.
  • Partner with operational and senior leadership teams to provide commercial insight, challenge and decision support.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting processes, controls and data quality.
  • Lead, coach and develop the finance team, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting expertise.
  • Significant experience in senior finance roles covering financial control, FP&A and business partnering.
  • Proven experience managing audits, statutory accounts, budgeting, forecasting and balance sheet control.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial insight into operational action.
  • Confident communicator with experience influencing senior stakeholders and non-finance teams.
  • Hands-on, resilient and adaptable approach, ideally gained within a multi-site leisure, hospitality, retail or service-led environment.
  • Living within commuting distance of Sevenoaks and with your own transport.
  • Prepared to work in the office 4 days a week with occasional travel to the venues.
