We are looking for an Events Sales Manager for a superb golf and country club near Basingstoke in Hampshire. The club is already a popular venue for golf related events and society days, and the post holder will also capitalise on their refurbished clubhouse and functions space to promote corporate and private functions, events, meetings and parties to local businesses, community groups and individuals in the local area. The club is part of a larger group who are going through an exciting period of transformation under new leadership, so it is an exciting time to be joining them.

Key responsibilities:- Drive revenue growth across golf/society days, private parties/events, corporate meetings/functions/team building and seasonal events through proactive sales activity.
- Generate new business through networking, cold outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, local partnerships, and client relationship development.
- Manage the full sales journey from enquiry and proposal creation through to negotiation, confirmation, and operational handover.
- Conduct engaging venue show rounds and client presentations to maximise conversion opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with corporate clients, golf societies, event organisers, members, and local businesses to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and market insight to support commercial decision-making.
- Proven experience within venue sales, hospitality event sales, corporate event sales, golf club sales, or a similar commercially driven environment.
- Confident in proactive outbound sales, business development, and securing new revenue opportunities.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills with a customer-first approach.
- Commercially aware with the ability to manage targets, maximise profitability, and identify growth opportunities.
- Organised and detail-focused, with experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Passionate about hospitality, events, and delivering outstanding guest experiences within a fast-paced venue environment.
- Lives within commuting distance of the Basingstoke area and has their own transport to visit prospects.
- Whilst the Events Sales Manager will predominantly work flexible office hours, there is the expectation to meet prospects at their convenience including evenings and weekends if required.
