We are working with an award-winning operator of golf and country clubs to find a General Manager to take the reins of a successful golf club nestled in the picturesque and affluent suburbs of Barnet, North London.
This is more than a golf club, it is a social club at the heart of the community where members go to relax, socialise, eat and host parties and events in the extensive clubhouse and bar areas which spill out into the grounds.
As such, we are looking for a General Manager who can not only lead the golf operation, but who has the business acumen to ensure the food, beverage and hospitality events business can realise its full potential.
The ideal candidate profile
- A passion for playing or watching golf.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster a culture of service excellence and drive for results.
- Experienced in dealing with 'members' as a Club Manager OR General Manager within a golf club, health & fitness club, sports club or hospitality club type environment.
- Experience in managing food and beverage operations and (ideally) hosting events.
- Experience in developing and executing sales and marketing plans.
- Experience in managing P&L accounts and budgets.
- Has their own transport and lives within commuting distance of Barnet North London
- Have the flexibility to work either a Saturday or a Sunday during the golf season and occasional evenings for big events.
