Spa Manager Cambridgeshire £38,000 OTE

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Spa Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our luxury spa, located within an exclusive private Golf, Health Club & Spa in the heart of Cambridgeshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on manager who combines exceptional leadership with therapist expertise and a passion for delivering outstanding member and guest experiences.

The successful candidate will oversee a team of professional therapists across six treatment rooms, ensuring the highest standards of service, operational excellence, and commercial performance.

As Spa Manager, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming, luxurious environment while driving team performance, revenue growth, and member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of qualified spa therapists, fostering a positive, high-performing culture.
  • Manage the daily operation of the spa, ensuring exceptional standards of presentation, cleanliness, and customer service.
  • Oversee the smooth running of six treatment rooms, ensuring efficient scheduling and maximum treatment occupancy.
  • Deliver an exceptional member and guest experience, consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and support the ongoing development of the spa team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans where required.
  • Ensure all treatments are delivered to the highest professional standards and in accordance with brand protocols.
  • Manage therapist rotas, staffing levels, and holiday planning to meet operational requirements.
  • Monitor and drive treatment and retail sales performance, identifying opportunities to maximise revenue.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control for professional and retail products.
  • Maintain compliance with all health and safety, hygiene, and licensing requirements.
  • Handle customer feedback professionally, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider club management team to promote spa services, memberships, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Prepare operational reports, budgets, and KPI analysis to support business objectives.

About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Spa Manager with a strong background in luxury spa operations and therapist management. You will possess:

  • Previous experience as a Spa Manager or Assistant Spa Manager within a premium spa, hotel, health club, or private members' club.
  • A recognised Level 3 (or equivalent) Beauty Therapy qualification, with hands-on treatment experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing, motivating, and developing a team.
  • Excellent operational and organisational abilities.
  • Commercial awareness with a proven track record of achieving treatment and retail sales targets.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to lead by example and support the team during busy operational periods.
  • Strong IT skills and experience using spa booking and management systems.
  • A proactive, professional, and flexible approach.

Desirable

  • Therapist qualifications NVQ level 2 and level 3 or CIBTAC or CIDESCO
  • Experience within a luxury spa or private members' club environment.
  • Experience with ESPA, ELEMIS, Temple Spa, or similar premium spa brands.
