We have an exciting new opportunity for a Fitness Instructor at Places Leisure.

You will work in a fun, lively environment with like-minded people, inspiring others to work together and deliver their best.

With previous experience in the fitness industry, you will be enthusiastic, enjoy talking with people, motivate others, and feel confident giving suitable health and fitness advice tailored to individual aspirations and goals.

All our Fitness Instructors should hold a minimum CIMSPA Affiliate/Reps Level 2, and it would be ideal to hold CIMSPA Practitioner/Reps Level 3.

Your career as a Fitness Instructor can lead to managing personal training sessions, growing your client base, and potentially progressing to Fitness Manager.

We offer ongoing training and development, including support with CIMSPA Practitioner / Reps Level 3 and enhanced customer service skills.

This is a part-time 16-hour-per-week position, ideally 2 x 8-hour shifts.

There will be opportunities to flex up to cover holidays and absence.

Availability on Saturdays and occasional Sundays, plus a midweek shift, is required.

Earliest start is 6:30am and latest finish 9:30pm (weekends: 8:00am start to 6:00pm finish).

  • Always putting the customers' needs at the forefront and able to build personable, meaningful relationships.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to continuous personal development and staying updated with industry trends.
  • Carry out initial inductions and ensure customers use equipment safely and correctly.
  • Comfortable working with customers of all abilities and stages of their fitness journey; able to set and monitor appropriate programmes.
  • Work with individuals on Personal Training and small group sessions; offer Personal Training as an additional service; look to take on new PT clients from face-to-face interactions and basic marketing tools.
  • Collaborate as a team to keep facilities clean and safe, adhering to regulations and company procedures; maintain high standards in all activities.
