Job Type: Full time/Part Time

Pay: Range from £8.00 - £12.71 (age dependent)

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day to day operations of the cafe and catering facilities.
  • Ensure the highest possible standards of Health and Safety and customer care.
  • Prepare and cook meals and snacks in accordance with the requirements of the Centre.
  • Ensure that all food is covered, stored, labelled and dated to meet the food safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 or the terms of subsequent legislation.
  • Make sure that food is handled, stored, prepared and served in such a way and such condition as to prevent contamination of food and drink.
  • Ensure that the kitchen and cafe areas are entered only by authorised persons.
  • Maintain vending machines on a regular basis.
  • Complete all cleaning duties whilst on shift.
  • Report injuries involving staff and members of the public to the F&B Supervisor/Duty Manager.
  • Record any complaints and pass them to the F&B Supervisor.
  • Carry out all Health and Safety procedures at all times.
  • Deliver a consistently high level of service to customers.
  • Assist in the management of the Centre’s quality assurance systems and procedures.
  • Carry out any regulatory requirements.
  • Be responsible and accountable for cash handling as required.
  • Adhere to company financial regulations in terms of cash handling.
  • Provide a safe and efficient service to the public.
  • Carry out any other duties as needed by management to achieve the business objectives of the contract.

Requirements

The post holder will preferably hold a recognised qualification in Catering, or a related subject, a first aid certificate and Food and Hygiene Certificate along with strong knowledge of the Leisure or related industry in a small/medium sized enterprise.
