Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise the day to day operations of the cafe and catering facilities.
- Ensure the highest possible standards of Health and Safety and customer care.
- Prepare and cook meals and snacks in accordance with the requirements of the Centre.
- Ensure that all food is covered, stored, labelled and dated to meet the food safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 or the terms of subsequent legislation.
- Make sure that food is handled, stored, prepared and served in such a way and such condition as to prevent contamination of food and drink.
- Ensure that the kitchen and cafe areas are entered only by authorised persons.
- Maintain vending machines on a regular basis.
- Complete all cleaning duties whilst on shift.
- Report injuries involving staff and members of the public to the F&B Supervisor/Duty Manager.
- Record any complaints and pass them to the F&B Supervisor.
- Carry out all Health and Safety procedures at all times.
- Deliver a consistently high level of service to customers.
- Assist in the management of the Centre’s quality assurance systems and procedures.
- Carry out any regulatory requirements.
- Be responsible and accountable for cash handling as required.
- Adhere to company financial regulations in terms of cash handling.
- Provide a safe and efficient service to the public.
- Carry out any other duties as needed by management to achieve the business objectives of the contract.
Requirements
The post holder will preferably hold a recognised qualification in Catering, or a related subject, a first aid certificate and Food and Hygiene Certificate along with strong knowledge of the Leisure or related industry in a small/medium sized enterprise.
