Lifeguards have one of the most important jobs at our centers, and that is keeping our customers safe in and around the water. If you are interested in a career in leisure, Leisure Focus also has fantastic training programmes that can lead to management positions, with a real focus on individual development.

Recreation Assistants will perform duties pertaining to both wet and dry sites.
What We Are Looking For
In order to be considered for a Lifeguard position at Leisure Focus, you need to be a strong swimmer, and have excellent customer service skills.
You Should Also Have:
- A UK recognized pool lifeguard qualification, NPLQ qualification is essential. (Leisure Focus academy is fully equipped to provide the training if you require to gain the qualification).
- Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to appropriately correct behavior of pool users where necessary
- Confidence and an approachable nature
DBS
- Recreation Assistant position classed as a regulated post and therefore may require a DBS Disclosure.
- Where the individual does not already hold a DBS Disclosure, it will be necessary for the post holder to be submitted for a DBS check.
