Come and join our Leisure Focus Senior Recreation Assistant team at Windsor Leisure Centre. This role is pivotal to the operations of our leisure centres, managing and inspiring a large team of recreational assistants day to day. The Senior Recreation Assistant ensures the best customer journey from arrival to departure, leading the team, developing members to their full potential. The role contributes to the community’s leisure time, improving physical and mental well‑being and offers a genuinely rewarding experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise the lifeguard team & regular pool rotations.
  • Comply with health & safety procedures and standards of the centre.
  • Supervise and clean the pool area.
  • Set up equipment.
  • Deliver first‑class customer service.
  • Deal with customer queries.
  • When not poolside, support the team daily – prepare studios, gyms or sports halls for activities, and perform general cleaning and upkeep of the centre.

Qualifications

  • Desirable: Recognized qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development, or related subject, or willingness to obtain such qualification.
  • Knowledge and skills in leisure or related industry within a small/medium enterprise.
  • Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or previously held, willing to achieve the qualification.
