ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To supervise the day to day operations of the cafe and catering facilities.
- To ensure the highest possible standards of Health and Safety and customer care.
- To prepare and cook meals and snacks in accordance with the requirements of the Centre.
- To ensure that all food is covered, stored, labelled and dated to meet the food safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 or the terms of subsequent legislation.
- Make sure that food is handled, stored, prepared and served in such a way and such condition as to prevent contamination of food and drink.
- To ensure that the kitchen and cafe areas are entered only by authorised persons.
- To ensure that the vending machines are maintained on a regular basis.
- To ensure that all cleaning duties are completed whilst on shift.
- To ensure that all injuries involving staff and members of the public are reported to the F&B Supervisor/ Duty Manager.
- To record any complaints and to pass to the F&B Supervisor.
- To ensure all Health and Safety procedures are carried out at all times.
- Ensure that a consistently high level of service is delivered to customers.
- To assist in the management of the Centre’s quality assurance systems and procedures.
- To undertake cleaning duties as required.
- To be responsible and accountable for cash handling as required.
- To undertake any other duties as may be required by the management to ensure that the business objectives of the contract are achieved.
REQUIREMENTS:
- The post holder will preferably hold a recognised qualification in Catering, or related subject, first aid certificate and Food and Hygiene Certificate along with strong knowledge of the Leisure or related industry in a small/medium sized enterprise.
Personal:
- Must be able to build strong relationships with customers, clients and employees.
- Must be able to communicate at different levels of the organisation, both listen and direct.
- Must be able to meet the demands of the role by working additional hours when required.
- Must be able to maintain and be committed to good employee relations and deliver quality training.
- Must be able to work from various locations as and when required.
- Must adhere to policies and practices related to uniform, jewellery and personal hygiene.
